How would you describe the Innovation Awards to someone outside the tech industry?
Innovation Awards recognizes individuals, teams or companies that have made significant contributions to their communities using innovation in the technology field. Innovations Awards creates networking opportunities for professionals in Central Ohio while educating the community of the wealth of talent and resources available locally.
How has winning an Innovation Award impacted you and/or your Company?
Our award for the 2009 Executive of the Year was a great boost for our team at 3X Systems. This recognition brought forth the significance of the impact our efforts are having in our community and gave the company much better exposure and prestige in our interactions with our customers and partner network.
Could you and/or your company have achieved this level of market awareness and exposure by other means?
TechColumbus Innovation Awards has given 3X Systems (www.3x.com) quite a bit of additional credibility from marketing perspective next to several other recognitions we have received from the leading national trade journals such as Computer Reseller News (CRN), Windows IT Pro and Redmond Magazine. All such press coverage has significantly improved our ranking in the online web search marketing.
How would you describe the role of TechColumbus in the support of innovation in Central Ohio and beyond?
TechColumbus is fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in technology startups in Central Ohio. By providing a series of services such as educational events, incubation services and providing seed investments, TechColumbus works to create new companies, strengthen existing businesses, open doors to technology resources, help promote and attract the next generation of high-wage/high-growth industry sectors, support the attraction and retention of talented people.
Any other comments about the TechColumbus Innovation Awards or TechColumbus organization?
TechColumbus provides a number of resources and services to technology entrepreneurs and businesses in order to take their ideas to market. TechColumbus has been instrumental in helping 3X Systems to go from an idea to a real company with real products and hundreds of customers in North America. I believe TechColumbus is helping to build a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Central Ohio, which will lead to substantial job creation and economic development in the years to come.
